Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery in Palatine, consecrated in 1958, is the most recently developed cemetery. Its opening and location are in recognition of the vast Catholic population growth in the far northwestern Cook County area. 1995 saw the completion of the new Office / Chapel / Garden Crypt Complex. The complex was blessed by His Eminence Joseph Cardinal Bernardin on Memorial Day, 1995. Our Lady of the Angels Garden Crypt contains 1,400 crypts. Saint Michael's is under the jurisdiction of All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
