Cemetery Sunday

Rosary and Prayer Service

Let us learn to pray more in the family and as a family

With these words, the staff of the Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Chicago invites you to a day of faith, visitation, gratitude and prayer honoring your loved ones at the cemeteries listed below.

At 2:00 PM we will gather as a community of faith in the Interment Chapels of these cemeteries where we will join together for a Prayer Service as your beloved are remembered in the recitation of the rosary. Your personal intentions will be remembered in the Prayers of the Faithful.

In addition you will find the names of all those who have been buried within the cemetery from mid-October 2019 through mid-October 2020 memorialized on banners in each of the chapels. These banners will be displayed in the chapel during the recitation of the rosary and in the offices during the entire month of November.

Also, a "Memorial Remembrance Book" will be available in which you may write the names of your deceased loved ones. After the Prayer Service, the book will be available on the counter in each of the offices for you throughout the coming year for any additional names you would like us to remember in our daily prayers. This book will then be carried in procession and placed on the altar at our Field Masses on Memorial Day.

We look forward to the opportunity of seeing and sharing this outreach of our ministry with you.
