Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums


Consecrated in 1928, Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleums was the first Archdiocesan Cemetery established to serve Lake County. The cemetery spans 213 acres north of Buckley Road in Libertyville, Illinois and has over 34,000 interments (as of 12/31/22).

In 1973, the Garden Mausoleum crypt complex was opened, which features outdoor above-ground burial spaces for full-body and cremated remains.
