St. Mary Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums

Consecrated in 1888, St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, located in Evergreen Park, Illinois, spans 192 acres and has over 200,000 interments (as of 12/31/22). St. Mary was established by South Side Germans and the German Angel Guardian Orphanage Society but serves as the final resting place for a variety of ethnic groups in the present day.

The grotto of the Blessed Virgin is one of the central unique features of the Cemetery. The Cemetery contains two Garden Mausoleum crypt complexes, which offer outdoor above-ground burial spaces for full-body and cremated remains.

The staff in the office was very helpful answering our questions and pointers on the kiosk use.  We found the graves of my Great-Grandparents easily.  The cemetery is very large and very well maintained.

Their affordable plans made it so easy for me to take care of it on my own and not burden my family. Plus as a Catholic I am so grateful to be buried in a Catholic cemetery.

I am pleased with how easy it was to pick out our grave spots.
Highly recommended.
